Delegating social media scheduling to an AI agent without losing control
Table of contents
Claude, ChatGPT or a coding agent can write a post, adapt it for each network and suggest a time slot. What they can’t know is what your brand can afford to say. The right setup is to hand them the repetitive work and keep the decision.
What you delegate, what you keep
| You delegate | You keep |
|---|---|
| First drafts and per-network variants | Brand voice and final approval |
| Splitting a long piece into several posts | Sensitive topics and unhappy customers |
| Suggesting publishing slots | Choosing the slot |
| Rephrasing, shortening, translating | Anything that commits the brand: prices, promises, figures |
The five-step workflow
- Give a brief. Audience, tone, this week’s goal, limits. A precise brief is worth ten rounds of edits (see how to write one).
- Ask for drafts, not publications. The agent prepares; it doesn’t publish.
- Review in a batch. One review session a week beats ten isolated approvals.
- Schedule from the calendar. You pick the slot, and you see the whole week before it goes out.
- Look at what worked. The posts that did well become the examples in the next brief.
Why drafts rather than direct publishing
A published post can’t really be taken back: even deleted, it may have been seen, copied or screenshotted. An agent can get the tone wrong, invent a figure or answer off-topic. Keeping a human step between the text and the publication costs a few minutes; removing it will, one day, cost much more.
That’s also why the Postbiz sending engine never replays a publication whose outcome is uncertain: automating shouldn’t mean publishing twice.
Getting started
Pick a single network and a single week. Write the brief, ask for five drafts, review them, schedule them. After one week you’ll know what is worth delegating, and what isn’t.

How to write a good brief for an AI agent that drafts your posts
Draft quality depends on the brief. What to specify (audience, tone, formats, no-gos) and a template to copy.
The 24-hour window: how to answer your Messenger and Instagram messages in time
On Messenger and Instagram, Meta limits how long you have to reply. What the rule requires, what it changes for a team, and how to keep any conversation from expiring.
Why Postbiz never replays a publication whose outcome is uncertain
When a network doesn’t answer, there’s no way to know whether the post went out. Retrying risks publishing it twice. The rule we chose, and what you see on screen.
